There are many species of rats in the world and the United States. The two most common rats in Arizona are the Norway Rat and Roof Rat. Alpha Pest Control is experienced in rodent control, and is ready to help.

The Norway Rat is an excellent swimmer and is often found in waterfront areas, sewers, storm drains, underground burrow and yes in our homes.

The Roof Rat is a phenomenal climber, easily climbing trees, power poles, sides of houses, or utility lines. They prefer to nest above ground, and commonly nest in trees or thick shrubbery, as well as in the attics of our houses.

Mice are also a problem in Arizona. Mice are breeding machines – a female mouse can give birth to six mice 19 days after mating and can mate again in two days. They nest near food sources and feed up to 20 times a day.

Gophers like to make an underground freeway through your yard. They are fairly common in Arizona and can wreak havoc on your landscape and are hard to get rid of without professional help.
